To enter a custom name, press the "Set Counter Label"" button from the menu. The Counter Label Controller window will appear.

Press into the white box below the words "Add new label". A cursor will blink in the box and a keypad will appear. Type in the desired name and select the "Add" Button.

  • There is no length restriction on the custom name that can be specified. However, the font will become smaller as the length of the custom name increases. Once the length exceeds 19 characters, the name will be followed by an ellipsis (...).
  • Specifying a custom counter name will make that custom name available for use with any counter.
  • To delete all custom names added to the picker, select the "Reset" button. This will delete all custom names from the picker, but will not change the name on the counter. To change the name on the counter, select one of the default labels listed on the picker and select the "Done" button located in the upper right corner.

Repeat Alarms

What is a Repeat Alarm ?

A Repeat Alarm can be set on each counter for use in counting repetitive patterns. One row can be set for the number of rows in the pattern and an optional secondary row can be specified as a linked counter to count how many times that set of rows has been completed. However, at this time when using the two row feature, only one repeat alarm can be set.

To set an individual pattern repeat alarm:

  • Select the "Set Counter Repeat Alarm"" button from the menu of the specific counter row desired. The Counter Repeat Controller screen will appear.
  • The picker will be set on "None". Do not change the picker.
  • In the white box under "Set Repeat Value", specify the number of repeat rows in the pattern. For example a lace repeat of 20 rows repeated 40 times. In this case the value input into the "Set Repeat Value" box would be 20.

Once the alarm has been set for a specified row the numbers will show up in red.

Once the specified value has been reached a pop-up menu will appear stating "Repeat Count Completed". Press the "Ok" button. If the "Reset" option was selected, the counter's numerical value will automatically default back to 0. This can be turned off by sliding the "Reset" button to off.

To cancel a Counter Repeat Alarm:

  • Select the "Settings" button for the row that contains the individual red numbered alarm.
  • Select the "Set Counter Repeat Alarm" button in the Counter Menu. The Counter Repeat Controller screen will appear showing the value previously designated as the repeat value. Type the number 0 in the "Set Repeat Value" box to reset the repeat alarm. Press the "Done" button in the upper right corner.

The counter value will be displayed in black to show that the repeat alarm has been cancelled.

What is a Linked Counter ?

A linked counter can be used to count how many times the individual pattern repeat alarm has been reached.

To set the linked counter at the same time as an individual alarm:

  • Scroll the picker to the name of the desired counter label. You cannot select the name of the individual alarm counter row. It is best to choose the row just below the individual repeat alarm row.
  • Press the "Done" button in the upper right corner.

The linked row will now have the plus and minus buttons grayed out. This is the indication that those buttons cannot be used to change the counter value. Each time the individual alarm reaches the desired value, the linked counter will increment up by one.

To cancel a linked counter:

  • Select the "Settings" button for the row that contains the individual red numbered alarm.
  • Select the "Set Counter Repeat Alarm" button in the Counter Menu. The Counter Repeat Controller screen will appear showing the name of the linked counter highlighted in the picker. Scroll the picker to "None" and press "Done" in the upper right hand corner.

The linked counter will be cancelled and no longer grayed out.
